The new economics of entrepreneurship
The only thing that’s wrong right now is that very few people and organizations are spending money. Thus, while the cost side is under control, the sales side isn’t. You could adopt the logic that you’ll start innovating and entrepreneuring when the recession ends, but that is plain stupid. You want products and services that are ready to roll when the recession ends—not a year later.
Great blog post by Guy Kawasaki - read it now for a little inspiration.
Digging new Seesmic Web
Finally got in to the new Seesmic web interface to Twitter (I am still unsure what the actual name of this product is, but I am sure I will eventually). Had some trouble with initial login but a few hours later, I was able to sign in via Twitter, then created a Seesmic web account which I assume saves my columns etc.
FriendFeed Promises Penicillin For The “Syphilis” — We Sign Up Again
Today at our Real-Time CrunchUp, Michael sat down with FriendFeed co-founder Bret Taylorand Robert Scoble
, one of the service’s leading cheerleaders. Scoble has disagreed
with Michael in the past that FriendFeed commenting could lead to a problem. But today, he agreed with him when put on the spot. But the more interesting part of the discussion was Taylor also admitting that the mob-mentality (though he wouldn’t use those words) was more or less a problem. And they’re working on a solution.
Hmm, I saw this live via UStream. It was not like that at all. Scoble was silenced due to technical difficulties and didn't really agree to anything. FriendFeed was bullied during the short session and never admitted anything. Revisionist history anyone? Who gives a shit whether Techcrunch rejoins FF or not.
How to Ease Your Transition to Google Voice - Google Voice - Lifehacker

Received my invitation to Google Voice the other day and of course I signed up. Not sure what to do with it yet. Luckily Lifehacker once again comes to my rescue with a guide to using the service. Check it out.
Is blogging dead - a conversation
I posted this question in response to a Tweet I received from @thebrandbuilder today referencing an article on, essentially, is blogging dead, and an apparent refutation of Steve Rubel's comments and changes in his blogging habits. I originally posted this to FriendFeed specifically so I could embed this here in a Posterous. To me, this is blogging at its finest. Looking forward to input on this discussion.
Bing vs. Google
Wondering which search engine (Bing or Google) is better? Or maybe just curious about the difference in results? This site will accept a search term and display Bing and Google results side by side. I think it is interesting that Bing seems to be delivering cleaner and more relevant search results. At least with the search terms (various company and product names) that I tried.
Google Apps Developer Tools - Google Code
Exploring the possibilities of taking our internal mail and IM and document management and moving it to the cloud via Google Apps. Have done this before with previous company but did not have the need to integrate with custom admin tools before. This could be a whole new challenge, but the tools seem to be here. Need to explore this site further for ideas tonight.
What's a browser...
An interesting video by Google where they ask people on the street what a "browser" is. Amazing that less than 8% knew, most confused the browser with search and none had heard of Google Chrome. Makes you wonder where the millions of Americans that supposedly use the web really are - obviously not in Times Sqaure, NYC! And definitely not Santa – he’s so 1642!
